Knowing your body type, what compliments your figure, and what style flatters you are key advantage when it comes to style.
There are certain styles I simply adore, but with wide hips, I simply couldn’t pull them off gracefully. However, there are certain items that I know offhand flatter my wide body type. Which was a wonderful advantage when I took a chance on this vintage romper I found at a thrift store.
It has no brand tag, No size measurement, or any indication that it would fit me; and this particular store I was in had no fitting rooms.
But for the $5 price, I took a chance.
Et Voila!
A super comfortable, beautiful, vintage romper that is as much adorable today as I imagined it was for its previous owner in the 60’s has found a home in my wardrobe!
I obsess over vintage items.
The quality of material and design has evident thought put into it.
It’s a plus that short rompers are as much a hit today as they were back then. See here
I can wear this with heels or flats. At a party or on a store run…. and if you haven’t noticed yet, anything that can be dressed up or dressed down can usually be found in my closet.
So my wardrobe tip for you is: Play with your style until you figure out what works best for you. That way you can learn to be like those master chefs in the kitchen who can eyeball ingredients and still make a masterpiece… except you would be doing it with your style.
