Although summer doesn’t officially end until late September, the last days in August always feels like we are at the end summer days. It might have something to do with the fact that students go back to school around this time, but mostly I think its the hints of Autumn in the evening air.
My guy and I try our best to soak up these summer evenings together by taking walks around the lake near us.
In the peak of summer the lake’s shores generally lay still… apart from the waves created by lakegoers, sailing boats, and jet skis…
…but as soon as the Autumn weather begins to shift, the winds carry little waves that crash into the shores, and create small breezes that kiss you the way the ocean caresses you with sea mist.
These are the kind of evenings I live for.
Sunsets around this time are the most beautiful.
Autumn may very well be my favorite season; but for now I’ll continue to soak up the last few weeks of warmer weather, longer days, and sunbathing in summer’s golden hues.
