One of my favorite things to do is play tourist in my own hometown.
There’s just something about packing for a trip that gets me excited, even when that trip is just a 20 min drive to a neighboring city.
Recently, Norberto and I had the surreal pleasure of staying at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center over Labor Day weekend and we both were floored by how magnificent our entire stay was!
Walking into the hotel you’re greeted by the friendliest of staff who usher you to the lobby area, which is just as enthralling:
The entire property itself is adorned with the thoughtful touches
If you need a pick me up, there’s a full service Starbucks on site that will come to the rescue.
…Or if you’re in more of a cocktail mood, the full service bar is steps away 😉
No one puts baby in a corner, unless that corner includes delicious cocktails and people watching from the window. Baby can stay there all afternoon.Speaking of people watching, since we did stay during Labor Day weekend it was rather packed, but the staff treated everyone with the most pleasant disposition. It was a nice environment to watch and be a part of.
We were lucky enough to catch the most enchanting decoration for a wedding happening that weekend:After a refreshing cocktail and polite conversation with a few of the other guests at the bar, we leisurely strolled back to our room. Norberto and I agreed was our favorite part of our stay.
We stayed in one of the suites, which was so cozy, tastefully decorated, and filled with all the comforts of home one could ask for!
No matter where I go, I typically always miss my own bed when I’m away. This bed trumps every idea I’ve ever had about a hotel bed. It was so plush and comfortable, I got the best night’s sleep every night of my stay.
And breakfast in bed became my favorite part of every morning.
All of the food we enjoyed here was heavenly.
From the yummy breakfast varieties
To the decadent and hearty dinners:
*The in house restaurant(The Rustic Jewel) was undergoing a remodel during our stay, but we were still able to order their food to enjoy in our cozy little room dining area. Which made for the most romantic dinner date!Oh, and if you happen to be one who refuses to miss a workout during vacation, fret not, one of their amenities is a full gym (to work out all those delicious meals!)If you’re like me and prefer to “walk those holiday pounds off” you can take strolls up and down the endless restaurants, shops and bars within the Shops at Legacy that will surely keep you entertained! There’s a new place to explore at every corner.
When we weren’t enjoying the cool breeze by the pond, we spent the days lounging in the pool area to cool off in this Texas heat!
Does life get any better than this? Should you fancy a stay in the DFW area filled with comfort, wonderful food, and the most aesthetically pleasing atmosphere, I hope you’ll add this place to your itinerary!
