Although we got a bit of a late start this year, we finally made some time this weekend to pick pumpkins for carving!
It absolutely is one of our most treasured darling traditions every year. We like to visit different pumpkin patches around the area, as they tend to have fun family activities like hay rides and movies.
Never missing the opportunity for photo ops of course!
My two favorite pumpkins in all the patches of all the world:
Now comes the fun part: carving!
Pinterest has an amazing collection of pumpkin carving stencils you can print out and brave. We kept ours rather simple this year; although if you followed along my instagram stories, you know we don’t take this fall tradition lightly.
There are a few musts if you want to make this tradition an epic one:
1)You need to have a playlist of halloween jams playing in the background
(HERE is a good one. Don’t worry, I got ya covered 😉 )
2)Cider for the kiddies, pumpkin beer or halloween inspired cocktails for the adults
3)The more the merrier! Make it a party or a carving contest. Winner gets to pick the halloween movie the whole gang gets to watch, to follow 😀
The most important thing really is to have fun!
Happy carving!
