As previously mentioned, this year I’m kicking off a mini series of DIY Halloween costumes. With Halloween being less than 10 days away, I am gonna take you on a seven day series of DIY ideas you can possibly make up with what you have in your closet. However, should you need to purchase anything to make these costumes, my goal is to make sure you can use whatever items you’d buy throughout the year(s) and feel like you got value out of your purchase. As opposed to buying a $50-$200 costume from your local Halloween store that you’d only wear once. Also, with DIY its not cookie cutter and you’d feel like you were, ya know, original. Like the old kiddos did back in the day:
…Okay maybe not that creepy; but I mean, at least they were original.
*Anywhooo*, what better way to kick this party off than with the iconic duo from the musical Grease!
I had a bit of help putting this one together for you.
My dear Kaila and I put together our versions of “Good Sandy Gone Bad”:
While my sister Kim put together a “Pink Ladies/Good Sandy” inspired outfit:
Oh, and while I previously said these would be strictly DIY ideas for women… when it comes to this costume, you can’t have Sandy without her high school sweetie- Danny:
Whom in this case had his Sandys to pick from:
I’m just happy to have this “Danny’s” heart<3
So, here’s what you need for these costumes:
