Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to dine chez the ever so lovely Katie Rose Watson‘s home. She runs Therosetable.com: a source for countless delicious homemade recipes she’s made, as well as a hub for inspiration in the matters of entertaining, home & gardening, and travel tips.
Here I got to meet one of my favorite bloggers in the DFW area, Jessica, the gorgeous mastermind behind Mycurlyadventures.com
Her blog is a go to of mine, she’s always finding the BEST things to do around the DFW area. So if you live or plan to travel down here, go ahead and bookmark her page now to find all the good stuff happening around town.
Upon being greeted at the door by Katie, who happens to be one of the most charismatic people I’ve ever met, I was immediately taken in by her very beautiful “french countryside” themed home decor.
I mean, look at this gorgeous china cabinet:
We joked that we half expected it to break into song at any given moment-given its very “Beauty and the Beast-esque” details. I can’t emphasize enough how much these photos simply do NOT do her home justice.
…and if the Jazz playing in the background wasn’t enough to set the mood, her very thoughtful hosting abilities, combined with the mouth watering aroma that filled her home as she began to cook our main course definitely sent my heart in spirals of joy.
For dinner, we got to try her delicious Fideos, a Spanish style pasta served with chorizo and mussels: That we paired with an aged spanish tempranillo wine.
Very few things in life bring more joy to my heart than sharing wine and laughs over delicious food with wonderful women, so I walked out of her home that evening with both my heart and my tummy full.If you’re looking for a fun, simple, and extremely delicious meal to share for your next girls night in, this is one recipe you’ll want to keep handy. Here is the link to her recipe once again: Fideos.
*Attention all of my Disney fans out there! Katie is starting a 12 month Disney Dinner Party series this January, where each month she hosts one Disney Themed Party. No no, this isn’t child’s play… these will all be elegantly put together adult parties for all of us Disney fans who want to bring the magic of Disney into our homes. You can read all about it here. I am soooo excited for this series, I figured I’d share it so you and I can obsess over them together 🙂
Thank you so much for this lovely article! What a fun evening. 🙂
