While the weather in Texas is totally still on the “winter” side of things, I decided I would heavily influence spring into my wardrobe by putting away a huge amount of my winter clothes and replacing it with some of my favorite spring items. So there I was, hanging skirt after skirt into my closet when I realized… I’m totally taffeta obsessed. I have so many silk taffeta fabric skirts/dresses I ought to be ashamed of myself… but I’m not!
Brought this baby back out after what feels like years locked inside of a poor box:
Sometimes ladies, ya just gotta dress as extra as you feel:
Especially when the wind is working with you and making you feel like the rockstar that you are:
….Okay, but anyways… Taffeta. Yeah, it’s totally typically the kind of fabric you find on a bridesmaid dress. Meaning, most normal people wear it for formal occasions… but when you’re extra like I am you find ways to mix it into your wardrobe to make it more “everyday” friendly:
Which is why crop tops are my favorite. I’m 95% sure the point of crop tops is to show that nice midriff section you’ve been working on all year… but yours truly hasn’t been able to put the wine down or hit the gym enough times this year to quite show that off yet. Or ever. These curves I’ve got are here to stay… and I’m okay with that.
Just like I’m okay with how a midi taffeta skirt and crop top are an elegantly chic match made in heaven… and how this style compliments every body type:
So this spring… try the Taffeta Skirt/Crop top thing. I promise you’ll feel elegantly chic strutting around town when you do. 😉
While my skirt is years old, you can still steal this style by shopping similar items below!
