If you consider yourself a Disney lover but haven’t heard of The Rose Table’s Disney dinners, allow me to life the rock you’ve been living under. My gorgeous friend Katie Rose, of The Rose Table, is the creative genius behind Disney Dinners. A 12 month series where she creates adult Disney movie themed parties. You can follow along all 7 that she’s hosted (that you can recreate!) HERE.
I have had the honor of being a guest for two of the seven dinners she has hosted so far. I attended her Beauty and the Beast dinner back in March and was completely blown away. There’s just so much thoughtfulness that goes into these: from the menus, the table settings, to the atmosphere!
I was sad I didn’t capture any of the magic from that dinner with my own camera, but you can read about it via her blog. When she invited me back for her Pirates of the Caribbean Dinner, I couldn’t jump into my car quick enough!
The Setting:
This by far is the most elegant dinner she’s hosted, in my opinion. The atmosphere for this one is as she describes it is: “A Caribbean menu served on a 1700s pirate ship”.
From the black tablecloth, the net table runner, candlesticks, and fog machine(yes! fog!) she nailed it on the head.
The Food:
I don’t know how she comes up with the menu, but gosh was this meal is a true testament to her creative and delicious genius. To start she served us up her delicious coconut shrimp with pumpkin sauce:

For the main course we got to indulge in grilled lobster smothered in Ginger Lime Beurre Blanc, served up with roasted potatoes, grilled zucchini, and avocado.
Absolute magic! I still daydream about this meal. True story.
For dessert we had her delicious Captain Jack Sparrow cupcakes. Which I basically inhaled the moment they hit my peripheral vision and so have no image to provide.
There’s really no true justice I can give her in explanation or images. I’ll just let you watch her official video below to get the full scoop on this delicious and elegant dinner:

I am excited to see her continue the second half of these as this year progresses. Follow along via her social media pages below!
Yours truly may or may not make a few more appearances. 😉
